Summers just aren’t the same without a picnic. What better way to enjoy the outdoors than with a picnic table right in your backyard! Picnic tables are a fun addition to any yard. You can build picnic tables yourself or buy ready made picnic tables, either way once you have one it’s only a matter of time before your kids start playing outside more, you get to know your neighbors better, and you and your sweetie have romantic dinners on the patio!

Growing up in Texas I remember spending summers by the lake. We’d spend our days out on the boat tanning, water skiing, or just riding around! In the evening we’d come onto the shore and help get dinner ready. Whether we had summer corn or pizza’s everything tasted better eaten outside! We had big picnic tables set up by the shore. I remember helping to carry out the trays of food. We would sit around our picnic table and have fun telling stories and jokes.

As the sun set we’d clear off the picnic tables and gather around to sing songs from the “old country.” It is such a great memory and now it can be relived with a picnic table right in my own backyard.

Although we’re no longer near a lake we still put our picnic tables to good use! Last weekend we invited our new neighbors over for a fun getting-to-know-you afternoon!

The next day I came home from shopping and the house was unusually quiet. I found my husband in the backyard, candles lit, by the grill just finishing up a couple of steaks for a romantic dinner. He had put the kids to bed himself and they were sound asleep, giving us a wonderful evening. After dinner we stayed outside and watched the night sky, with two falling stars!

Our picnic tables are a wonderful investment for now and the future!
